Delmar Parkway is a 6.7-mile tree-lined roadway that was first built in 1964. It runs through several parks and features a wide variety of shops and restaurants and a stunning view of the Rocky Mountains and the Front Range. Its name comes from a combination of the terms of two prominent parks along its course: Del Mar Park and Garden of the Gods Park. The former is a 77-acre expanse of lush meadowland and an artificial lake. At the same time, the latter is Aurora’s most famous park, offering a variety of activities such as rock climbing and a playground.
